Harpers Ferry KOA Review
The Harpers Ferry KOA is a good camping option for visiting Harpers Ferry National Park and the surrounding area. Harpers Ferry KOA is easy to access from Highway 340.
Harpers Ferry KOA Overview
We heard great things about visiting Harpers Ferry and wanted to check it out. This KOA campground was the ideal spot to stay during our visit.
We heard that a hiking trail connected the campground with the Harpers Ferry National Park visitors center and historic area. As it turns out, one of the major civil war battlefields is within walking distance of the campground.
The KOA campground was nice and had a ton of amenities and activities. The Harpers Ferry/Civil War Battlefields KOA is designated as KOA Holiday. That is the middle of three designations: Journey, Holiday, and Resort. A KOA Holiday will have at least some sites with a brick patio, some deluxe cabins, and group meeting facilities. KOA Holiday campgrounds are geared toward staying a few days end enjoying the campground rather than having just an overnight stop.
This was a clean and fairly quiet campground. We’d recommend it for your visit.

Harpers Ferry KOA Staff
Our check in was smooth. We had a great conversation with one team member who has the same type of camper we do, a Grand Design Transcend 28MKS. Staff generally seemed friendly.
