Trail With Tree

The Trail Quest Challenge

Trail With Tree

I just hiked at York River State Park over the weekend. It is a very nice park along the York river near Croaker, VA. That makes the second Virginia State Park visit for the year. Earlier, I visited Westmoreland State Park on the Potomac River. Both have nice trails and both have a fossil beach area where you can look for ancient shark teeth and other fossils.

Virginia Parks now offer Trail Quest. This is a challenge to hike every park in Virginia. Sounds like a great challenge. I look forward to doing them all.

Over the summer, I had the chance to camp and hike in some of the nation’s greatest places; Rocky Mountain, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Glacier, and Theodore Roosevelt National Parks. In upcoming posts, I hope to tell you all about these places, the campgrounds, and the gear I used. I will also keep you up to date as I do the Trail Quest.

Thanks for following.
